Hello, my name is Kelly and I’m so happy you’re here, I’m a wife and a mom and I also love to make fun things at home so I created Crafty Seasoned Mom to share my favorite ideas for decorating and gardening and cooking and doing crafts with your family because I want to help make your home a happy and creative place full of color and love and smiles.
When I became a mom my days got very busy because there were toys on the floor and little shoes everywhere and sometimes even spaghetti on the wall so I used to think everything in my home had to look perfect and clean and shiny and in the right place but one day I learned something very important which is that the best homes aren’t perfect because they are full of love.
One morning my kids wanted to paint so I gave them some paper and then they painted the table too because there was paint on their hands and on their faces and even on our dog’s tail so for a second I wanted to say “Oh no” but then I saw their happy faces and we all started laughing and that day I learned that the mess didn’t matter because what mattered was the fun we had together.
That’s when I decided to start this blog because Crafty Seasoned Mom is a place to share simple and happy ideas for moms and families so I wanted to show that you don’t need a fancy house or expensive things to make life beautiful because you just need love and imagination and maybe a little bit of glitter.
On my blog you will find home décor ideas to make your space cozy and pretty and garden tips to help you grow flowers and plants and yummy veggies and crafts and DIYs that are super easy and fun for kids as well, All made with love so you don’t have to be a perfect decorator or crafter but you just have to enjoy trying new things and spending time together.
I live with my wonderful husband and our sweet kids who keep my heart full because they love helping me with crafts and cooking and gardening so sometimes things get a little messy but that’s okay because my kids are my biggest helpers and my best teachers because they remind me to laugh and be silly and not worry too much about little things.
Even our dog joins the fun because he loves sitting in the garden while we plant flowers or chase bubbles and our home is not always perfect but it’s full of laughter and that’s what I love most.
I love sharing ideas that make people smile because I feel so happy when someone says “I tried your craft and my kids loved it” or “I used your decorating idea and now my living room feels cozy” so for me this blog is more than just pictures and posts because it’s a place where families can find joy in the little things like painting together and baking cookies and growing a sunflower from a tiny seed because I believe every little thing you make with love becomes something beautiful.
My dream is simple because I want to make life easier and happier and more colorful for families everywhere and I want Crafty Seasoned Mom to be a place where moms and dads and kids feel welcome and inspired so when you visit my blog I want you to feel cozy like you’re sitting with me at the kitchen table sipping hot chocolate and chatting about fun ideas because I want you to find something that makes you say “Hey I can do that too” and you really can.
