When I talk about hand hygiene with the kiddos in my life, I make sure to always make it fun. Doesn’t it seem kids always have their hands in everything?! Even with my kids being older, it can be workout just keeping up with keeping on them about their cleanliness! How about the dirt under those fingernails? Um GROSS!!
All It Takes Is A Few Squirts!
With my DIY lavender hand sanitizer spray recipe, all it takes is a few quick squirts to help the kids keep stay clean. then they’re good to go and play AND go and get dirty all over again! Because we all know kids are always in a rush to get back to whatever they were doing and they will probably come back twice as filthy as they were before!

I know right now we are social distancing, but hopefully you are still able to get out for a walk, hike, pick some flowers or play in the dirt, even if it is in your back yard. If you are able to get out, soap and water isn’t always available. I keep this DIY Lavender Hand Sanitizer Spray Recipe in purse and car.
Moms Love Lavender Hand Sanitizer Too
This way, when you and the kids are out having some fun and blowing off some steam, keep this hand sanitizer spray on hand. It’s great for keeping those hands, knees, elbows, etc. clean! And mom! I know you need to use this hand sanitizer too! With the jojoba and fractionated coconut oils, it smells like a day at the beach and it makes your hands feel super soft, no matter how often you use it.
- 2 tablespoons Aloe Vera gel
- 1/2 cup 90+% isopropyl alcohol
- 1 teaspoon jojoba oil
- 1 teaspoon fractionated coconut oil
- 2-5 drops of bergamot essential oil
- 2-5 drops of grapefruit essential oil
- 2-5 drops of lavender essential oil
- 2 ounce spray bottles
- Measuring cup
*Recipe will make approx (2) 2-ounce bottles of DIY Lavender Hand Sanitizer Spray Recipe
Step 1: Add your aloe gel and 90+% isopropyl measuring cup and whisk together.
Step 2: Add in your fractionated coconut and jojoba oils.
Step 3: Add in your *lavender, grapefruit and bergamot essential oils. Whisk all ingredients together until well incorporated.
Step 5: Using a funnel, add the mixture into your bottle, stopping about ½” from the top. Add the top and screw on tightly. Affix your label!
