Making Bath Bombs Makes Cents!

If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you’ll know that I adore bath bombs. But you know what I love even more?! Making bath bombs! Rather than going out to an overpriced beauty store, you can make them yourself (for pennies on the dollar!)

Organic Turmeric And Dandelion Anti-Aging Bath Bombs

My Turmeric Anti-Aging Bath Bomb feels incredible on the skin. The mix of turmeric, Epsom salts, coconut oil, and jojoba oil is what gives your skin that extra boost of smoothness. Not to mention, the dried dandelions are a unique addition – I’ve never seen anything like it on retail shelves!

Anti-Aging Properties

Turmeric has been known to have anti-inflammatory abilities. I have read it can also help delay and fight age-related chronic diseases. This is why I am so happy that I thought of making this turmeric-infused bath bomb. The spice boasts a number of health benefits and can be used in so many different ways.

Organic Ingredients

I have been using organic products for years. We started when my youngest was born. We started with laundry products and then our food. It has progressed over the years to overlap into our beauty products as well. I love an organic and natural exfoliant like the dried dandelion flowers we used. My skin feels great using them in bath bombs and soaps.

Step 3: Add the coconut oil. This binds all the ingredients together, so your bath bombs don’t crumble when you touch them! Next, add the turmeric essential oil and jojoba oil.

Mix ingredients thoroughly. You may need to use your hands to break down any lumps and make sure everything is mixed in. The mixture is perfect when it holds together when you press it into your hands and feels like wet sand.

Step 4: Mix in the dried dandelion and turmeric. If the mixture gets too dry, give it a few sprays of the rubbing alcohol.

Step 5: Fill both sides of the mold with the mixture, press molds together and grind to remove the excess mixture. Gently tap each side of the mold to release the bombs. To avoid the bombs breaking during the drying phase, I put them in a mini muffin tin. They fit perfectly!

Allow to dry a minimum of 24 hours. If your climate is wet or cold, allow an additional 24 hours. My rule of thumb is that when it is hard to the touch, they are ready for the tub! Store in an airtight container until ready for use.
